Your Gonna Miss This... Sleeping in Our Bed

Sleeping In Our Bed!

In ten years when I look back at pictures of my boys this is something that I will truly miss. It never fails at some point during the night one or both of my little angels end up in our bed. Now, at 3 am, when I have two inches of bed to myelf (Buggy actually tries to sleep sideways as pictured) it is not so cute/ fun, but I suspect when they are older and have less time for mommy this is something that will be dearly missed! So I will try even at 3 am to enjoy all the moments spent with my little blessings!

Bug Hunters

Yesterday was alot of fun for JimmyJam & Buggy Boo! We have traveled to good ole SC "our former home" to spend some time with their Grandparents. While at Wally World a few days ago the boys stumbled upon bug catching gear and we have been outdoors ever since! We have "catched" Butterfly's, caterpillars, flies, dragon flies, bumble bees (accident) Luckily, all including the bee escaped without incident! The boys have had a marvelous time playing with all manor of bugdom! And mommy and daddy have had a blast watching them scream "BUTTERFLY" as they run full speed across the monstrous yard trying to "CATCH'EM" It was defiantly worth the $25.00 at walmart to create such special memories.

Easter

I think it is so sad what "Easter" has become here for most people. The Easter Bunny who brings baskets of candy and toys, hunting for eggs, and big dinners where everyone gets together to eat until they cannot move. This is a "secular" Easter. Now don't get me wrong, we do all those things in my house too, but I cannot help but feel sad about it. Easter is to celebrate Jesus' Resurrection. This is whole week Jesus was making a way for all of us to go to Heaven and have a relationship with God our Father and Creator of the Universe. We are reading my children the story of Jesus this week and what he did for us. They are too young to understand most of it, but they do get the point, that a man named Jesus died a long time ago so that they could one day go to Heaven and live forever, and they know that after three days he rose again. How powerful is that? This week rejoice for we have been saved. If you do not know the Lord, or the true reason for Easter I urge you to read this www.wherewillugo.blogspot.com and get  to know him. God Bless!

So Much Going On!

Well it has been a crazy past few weeks! Super Hero was training away from home for 3 weeks and when he is gone there always seems to be a million things that break! Lol this time it was the washing machine and the lawn mower! Go figure! Coming up this weekend is my sisters bachelorette party and then next weekend is her wedding! *sniff sniff* *tear* It is exciting but a little sad too. She will be moving to Texas two days after the wedding and I will be 8 mths pregnant so no way to travel to see her anytime soon!
However I am looking forward to this weekend and being able to spend lots of time with her and then the whole family at Thanksgiving! Yum Yum gotta love Thanksgiving! :)

A Walk Down Memory Lane: My Favorite Birthday

Since my birthday is on Saturday, I thought that for todays walk down memory lane I would share with you my favorite birthday. The year was 2000, and I was turning sixteen. Awe sweet sixteen, lots of people I am sure would choose this as a favorite year because of nice elaborte parites or the car they recieved from their parents. This is my favorite birthday for a different reason.
Let me start by saying that my mom is an amazingly fun mother, who always wanted my sister and I to have the best that she could give. So for my sixteenth birthday she agreed to take me and my best friends Chelsea, Jessica, and Katrina to Myrtle Beach for the weekend. My mom allowed us to stay in our own hotel room (she and my aunt were next door); we went to dinner at Dick's Last Resort, we walked down the strip in tight pants and sequinned tops, we went to the Ripley's Haunted Mansion, and stayed up all night talking about boys.
We all had a blast, but the reason this birthday has become so special to me is because it gave me wonderful memories to look back on with one of my best friends, Chelsea, who passed away at the age of 21. When I think of Chelsea, I have many fun memories of times we shared, but I always think of our first "grown up" weekend in Myrtle Beach.
