Big News!

Well in my last post I gave a little teaser about some exciting news, so here it is...

Yep we are expecting our third and last child!
And.... It's a Girl!!!! Yay!!!!!
:0)

Although we have her real name picked out I am still not sure what her nickname for the blog will be  so for now she is Baby Girl!

We are so super excited, well Super Hero, Jimmy Jam, and myself are excited. Buggy still insists that there is "No Baby" and he has no respect for mommies ever growing belly. I am 20 weeks today at the time of writing and he is now starting to say her name and help me pick "pretty" clothes, however he still says "No Baby"  if someone tries to ask him about her.

I never really had this issue with Jimmy Jam, from day one he was super excited about having a younger sibling. I think maybe because I always knew we would have another child I may have prepared him better. Buggy, I thought would be the last, so I never really prepared him for the possibility. I know it will all work out and he will love her!

I cannot begin to explain how blessed we are! Although we were not trying to conceive, (I honestly thought we were done having children, but adoption was on the table for later in life) we have prayed for a little girl for 5 years. God has answered our prayers and I cannot wait to hold that sweet gift from God in my arms!

God still answers prayers and we are the proof!

Your Gonna Miss This Moment *Flip Flops*

I have a confession to make… I am about as anti- shoe as you can get! Yep, I am serious. I hate most shoes! Since I guess high school really I have worn rainbows (flip flops) 98% of the time. Even last year when it snowed for two days; I just could not bring myself to wear real shoes! Now this is something that for years I have prided myself with. Rainbows are my favorite shoes and I have had very little use for any other pair. For church or when I need to really dress up I will go for dress shoes or boots- other than that no need!
Sunday as I was getting ready to take my son to a birthday party I donned my cute semi-dressy sweater, jeans, and you guessed it, my rainbows. (Flip flops)  As I looked in the mirror it hit me- I might just be getting too old to pull this off!
I thought about this all day long, and many hours of worry later, I called my mom and cried as I explained my revelation. She tried to comfort me without laughing hysterically, but ultimately agreed that maybe it was time that I  broaden my shoe selection.
So it is with a grieving heart that I promise to buy some real shoes, and socks, and on my birthday I will put away my Rainbows for the entire winter. This much I can guarantee, I am gonna miss being young enough to wear flip flops all year long.

Into

Well I am new at this whole blogging thing, but after reading a few "mom blogs" I am confident in my abilities to spill my guts! I am 27 and a wife and mother. I am a SAHM, but I am looking for a job. My husband of three years is in the Marine Corps and we live in Jacksonville NC. It is an ok place, overcrowded and sometimes overwhelming, but I think I am coping well. My pride and joy would have to be my 16 month old son JimmyJam. He is amazing, he really is. Yes I know I may be a little bias, but he is so smart and so handsome. :) He is the first and only grandchild on either side so he is spoiled rotten by his grandparents, but I don't mind! My life is pretty good, I have issues like everyone else, and I am not the best at dealing with them, but maybe this will be a good outlet for my frustrations! Today I accomplished a shower during my sons morning nap, that was very exciting. The rest of today's agenda goes like this, lunch with my parents, errands, dinner with Super Hero's parents, hopefully get some clothes washed and our bed made before we actually get in it tonight! Not too bad today I guess. Well I better get to it!
