Fall is Coming
I am so excited at the cool down that has been happening the last two weeks here in NC. Too bad it isn’t like this year round. I feel like I have more energy now than I have since I got pregnant. Jimmy Jam and I have been to the park almost every morning for the past two weeks. It is such a welcome change! Fall is totally my favorite time of year! The colors of the leaves, the smell of the crisp, clean, cool air. It is just a fantastic time of year. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays and I cannot wait for it to get here! I love cooking pumpkin pies, the smell of cinnamon and homemade breads filling my kitchen. Oh I cannot wait! This year there is something else to look forward to when Thanksgiving rolls around; my sister is getting married the Sat. after Thanksgiving. I am really excited to see her all dressed up, she doesn’t get all dolled up very often! And even though I will be 8 months pregnant I am still going to get up in front of all those people and be her Matron of Honor! That part I am not particularly happy about, but what can ya do?

Remembering 9/11/01
On September 11, 2001 I was a Sophomore in highschool. That morning started out like any other. However, that was about to change. Mr. Reeves History class was soon interupeted by the loud speaker asking the teachers in the highschool wing to report to the Libriary followed by another message telling everyone to go to the gym for a special prayer service. We filed out of the room all a little confused but otherwise not too worried. why would we worry? There was no way we could imagine what tragic events were taking place.
That day my whole world was shaken. I had never heard of Bin Laden, and I had never heard anything about terrorist hatingAmerica and what this great nation stands for. Today I reflect back on that day and the days that followed, the victims, their families, the hero's that saved as many as they could. I remember the fear, the anger, the hopelessness; but I also remember thepride and determination that could be felt that day and those that followed. Today I also remember those who havefought and died trying to keep another 9/11 from happening. Today I remember and pray for this America, Home of the Free because of the Brave.
